Members of the Libyan Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) closed the crude oil pipeline feeding a number of electric power production plants of the General Electricity Company (GECOL) with natural gas as the main fuel to operate the stations of Al-Ruwais, Al-Zawiya, Al-Khums, as well as part of the Misurata Station, according to GECOL.

The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) reported on Monday that 592 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 13 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 9 others died of the virus, while 793 have recovered during the same reporting period.

The National Oil Corporation (NOC) accused the Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Aoun, of “infringing his powers” and “practicing a policy of misleading for the purpose of disrupting the Corporation’s work,” the NOC said in a statement on Sunday.
