50 migrants intercepted and returned to Libya – IOM

IOM: 885 migrants intercepted and returned to Libya between 12-18 February

International Organization for Migration (IOM) has said 50 migrants had been intercepted and returned to Libya from 13 to 19 August 2023.

So far in 2023, the number of 9,806 were intercepted and returned to Libya, according to IOM.

IOM pointed out that 894 migrants died and 1118 went missing on the Central Mediterranean Route between 1 Jan and 19 Aug, 2023.
