Seventy deputies of the Libyan House of Representatives announced that the statements of US special envoy and ambassador Richard Norland regarding oil are based on false data.
In a statement, the deputies expressed their disapproval of Norland’s bias in his statements to one party over the other, and his interference in Libya’s internal affairs.
The deputies also denounced the US envoy’s lack of respect for the Libyan judiciary, categorically rejecting what Norland said in his statements.
The deputies announced their support for the Libyan government’s decision to administratively seize oil revenues, stressing that the Libyan judiciary’s decision came in response to the rights of the Libyan people, preserving savings, and limiting Dbeibeh’s government’s waste of these funds.
