The president of the African Union, Macky Sall, said he was confident that Libya will achieve peace during 2023 through the holding of elections.
Sall spoke during an opening speech at the preparatory forum of the National Reconciliation Conference held yesterday in the capital Tripoli, in the presence of the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamd Menfi, and some of the ministers, officials and high-level representatives of the African Union.
The Senegalese politician hoped that these elections would be free and fair, that they would satisfy the desire of the Libyan people to vote and that all political parties would agree on the results.
