Benghazi – The Chairman of the General Authority for Cinema, Theater, and Arts, Mohamed Al-Bayoudi, and the Minister of State for Women’s Affairs, Intisar Abboud, visited International Peace University in Benghazi to review the entrepreneurial projects and artistic innovations participating in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum hosted by the university.
The visiting delegation included several officials and individuals interested in artistic and cultural affairs, including the Director General of the Ali Al-Shaalia Institute for Music and Theater, artist Eid Saeed, and the Director General of the National Center for Arabic Music Research and Studies, Nasser Omar Sawalem, alongside several directors of departments and offices affiliated with the Authority.
The delegation was received by the President of the university and members of the forum’s preparatory committee. The university administration presented an overview of the event’s goals, themes, and the role the university plays in supporting youth energy and fostering an environment of innovation and creativity within academic institutions.
The visit included a field tour through the corridors of the exhibition and the participating pavilions, during which the guests viewed youth projects, entrepreneurial initiatives, and innovative ideas presented by students and entrepreneurs, reflecting the capabilities of Libyan youth in the fields of arts, creative industries, and the knowledge economy.
The delegation also held a series of direct meetings with the participants, listening to the key challenges facing startup owners. They emphasized the importance of providing a supportive environment that contributes to developing these initiatives and transforming them into effective projects that contribute to national development.
At the conclusion of the visit, Al-Bayoudi praised the role played by International Peace University in hosting artistic talents and youth projects, stressing that academic institutions represent a fundamental pillar for building a society based on knowledge and creativity. Meanwhile, the delegation commended the organizational level of the forum and the civilized image it reflects in supporting the arts and empowering youth.
