Libya Attorney General Al-Siddiq Al-Sour confirmed on Wednesday that the number of Libyan family registrations reached 1,900,000.
Al-Sour added during a press conference that among these registrations, 11,823 registrations were proven by evidence to be forged.
The Public Prosecutor stated that there is fraud in the National Identification Number System after comparing it to the Civil Status System and other systems.
Al-Sour stated: “We have evidence that reveals the existence of fraud in the civil status system, and there are forged data with no basis in the system, that have been deleted.”
