Benghazi – The Peacebuilding and Crisis Management Center hosted a delegation from Chad on Sunday. The center is affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The Chadian delegation included Mohamed Issa Zakaria, Secretary-General of the Chadian Foreign Ministry. Hassan Ahmed Dassiri, Chad’s Consul in Benghazi, also accompanied the delegation.
The center announced this on its official Facebook page. Faraj Najm, Director-General of the Peace Center, received the delegation. The visit included a tour of the shrine of Mujahid Omar Al-Mukhtar. During the tour, detailed explanations were provided. These covered the history of the shrine’s establishment. They also detailed the life of Al-Mukhtar and his companions, honoring their enduring struggle.
The Peacebuilding Center noted the delegation also visited the shrine’s cultural center. There, they viewed historical artifacts and photographs. These items document that significant period.
At the end of the visit, the center presented the delegation with copies of its publications. This was in appreciation of their visit. The head of the Chadian delegation recorded a statement in the visitor’s log. This action documented the visit.
