Sebha – The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, affirmed the General Command’s support for national reconciliation initiatives and promoting development in southern Libya during his meeting with sheikhs and elders of the Qadhadhfa tribe in the city of Sebha.
A statement issued by the General Command’s media office said that the sheikhs and elders expressed their appreciation for the continuous efforts of the General Command, affirming their full support for all initiatives aimed at achieving national reconciliation, and praising the contribution of the armed forces in promoting development and service projects in the region.
Lieutenant General Haftar pointed to the historical role of the Qadhadhfa tribe in supporting the nation’s journey and preserving the unity of Libyan society, stressing that the upcoming phase will witness the implementation of urgent projects to develop infrastructure and basic services, provide job opportunities for youth, and enhance commercial and service activities in southern cities and villages.
