Italy’s Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio will discuss the situation in Libya today during a G7 ministerial meeting organized by Germany on the sidelines of the the 58th Munich Security Conference, announced the Italian foreign ministry.
In a statement released today, the ministry said the meeting will “make it possible to take stock of the situation in Libya in the light of the latest developments in the country.”
“Unity of purpose and multilateral cooperation are fundamental aspects for the pursuit of a Libyan-led political process, facilitated by the United Nations and which makes it possible to achieve the democratic aspirations of the Libyan people, while keeping the electoral perspective firmly established,” said the ministry.
