Tripoli – The General Electricity Company announced an update on Saturday. Maintenance teams are continuing their intensive efforts. They are working to repair emergency faults. These faults affect all Libyan regions and cities.
Maintenance teams from the Susah distribution department were active. These teams are part of the Maintenance and Operations Office. They transferred a 10kV line. This line connects to the Iron Tower. It serves the Boual-Sawi station branch on the Eastern Coast. Technicians performed the transfer. They followed specific, organized, and highly professional steps. All maintenance was completed. The line was charged. Electricity was restored to the citizens.
The company also announced emergency maintenance for the Northern Hajara 66kV circuit. The Sebha medium voltage maintenance team completed this work. All necessary maintenance was finished. Electricity was restored to citizens. This was achieved despite difficult weather and heavy rainfall.
Maintenance work continues in the Al-Fataih area. This work is on the support line, specifically the Al-Marai – Si Azizi line. Maintenance teams are striving to resolve faults rapidly. They are also observing all safety procedures. This is a precaution due to the current weather conditions.
The company also mentioned ongoing preparations. They are preparing to operate and charge a new power transformer. This transformer uses 11/30 voltage. It is located inside the Al-Tabbah station. The station operates at 11/30/220kV. Connecting this transformer to the electrical grid will enhance its stability.
