Benghazi – Authorities on Monday began enforcing an order from the Public Order Prosecution. The order halts illegal construction and subdivision in the Al-Rahba area. This is part of an investigation into complaint number 5535/2025. A citizen filed the complaint with the Attorney General’s office.
The order was executed on instructions from the Public Advocate and the Director of Public Order Prosecution. Directives were also issued by Major General Jamal Al-Amami. He is the head of the City Reorganization Committee and the General Directorate of Security Operations. Law enforcement patrols, supervised by their director, moved to the location to act on the complaint.
Security forces went to the plot of land in the Al-Rahba area. It is located on a street branching off Abdul Samad Street. All ongoing construction and subdivision at the site were halted immediately. This was due to a failure to comply with required legal procedures.
The individuals responsible for the activities were summoned. They will appear before the Public Prosecution for questioning. An official report is being prepared. It will detail the nature and current status of the work.
