Tripoli – Libyan Red Crescent teams discovered seven bodies. These were bodies of undocumented migrants. They were found on the beach of Qasr Al-Akhyar. The migrants were from sub-Saharan countries. The victims included three children. It is likely that other migrants are still missing.
The circumstances of their deaths have not been revealed. A statement from the Libyan Red Crescent explained the recovery. Volunteers from the Al-Khums branch retrieved the bodies. This occurred on the beach. It happened during attempts at irregular migration.
