Former Libyan ambassador to France, Shaibani Buhamoud, alluded to corruption of the Government of National Unity (GNU) regarding the money it allocated for Libyans who have new marriage contracts.
“The scandal of marriage contracts is enough to overthrow the government and all its retinue. The scandal involved everyone,” Bouhamoud said on his official Facebook account.
“Damn, did they not find anything but the dreams of young men who are looking for marriage, to trade in and steal?”the Libyan Politician wondered.
“Is there not in the other state institutions anyone who has an iota of patriotism, faith or courage in his heart to stop this looting or leave his position?” he added.
“Where are the honorable Parliament members from this disaster?” he said, referring to withdrawing confidence from GNU by the Parliament, “It seems that the resolution of withdrawing confidence is no longer sufficient. Urgent action is required.”
It is noteworthy that GNU had allocated 1 billion Libyan Dinar (about $200 million) for 50,000 Libyans looking for marriage, where every Libyan with a new marriage contract who applied was granted 20,000 Dinar (about $4,000).
The Government pledged to allocate 1 billion dinar more for the same purpose.
