Sebha – The Deputy Prime Minister for the Southern Region, Ahmed Houma, discussed the agricultural sector’s conditions. This was part of the “Together for the South” initiative. The goal was to identify farmers’ needs and challenges affecting production.
Houma reviewed the main challenges facing farmers. These include providing veterinary medicines, serums, fertilizers, and agricultural supplies. The discussion also covered difficulties hindering agricultural projects.
Houma affirmed his commitment to overcoming these obstacles. He will coordinate with authorities to find urgent solutions. This will enhance agricultural production and support farmers. It will also enable them to work efficiently.
Several officials attended the meeting. This included Ahmed Al-Qatrouni, Director of the Sebha State Property Authority office. The Deputy’s advisor, Salah Al-Bira, and the Head of the Cabinet Diwan for the Southern Region, Ali Al-Senussi, were also present. Also attending were Mohammed Al-Farouji, Head of the Farmers’ Syndicate, and Al-Mahdi Hassan of the National Center for Animal Health.
The meeting is part of the Deputy Prime Minister’s continuous follow-up on southern region files. He is monitoring service and development issues. The aim is to strengthen the agricultural sector’s role in local development and improve citizens’ lives.
