Sabha – Deputy Prime Minister for the Southern Region, Ahmed Houma, discussed the latest security developments in southern cities on Monday. He met with Sabha Security Director Major General Khaled Al-Basta. The Director of the General Administration for Security Operations and the head of the Cities Reorganization Committee, Major General Jamal Al-Amami, also attended.
The meeting addressed public security issues. They discussed ways to enhance coordination between security agencies. The group also reviewed the plan for securing upcoming elections. They confirmed the readiness of forces assigned to the task.
Houma praised the significant role of security services in the southern region. He affirmed his commitment to supporting them. This will enable them to perform their duties to maintain stability and protect citizens.
The meeting is part of the Deputy Prime Minister’s regular security follow-up for the south. It implements the “Together for the South” initiative. The goal is to enhance joint efforts and ensure security and stability in the region’s cities.
