A face to face between military leaders from eastern and western Libya could take place in Morocco “in the coming days,” Italian news agency Nova reported on Monday.
According to Nova, the same military delegates had previously met a few days ago, on 13th and 14th of May, in Montreux, Switzerland as part of an event organized by the Center for Humanitarian Dialogue, which is a think tank based in Geneva.
Initially, Italy was also proposed for the location of the meeting, in particular the Cavalieri Hilton Hotel in Rome, but it was decided to opt for Morocco to avoid any problems relating to the entry visas of some participants, Nova said.
The bilateral meeting is expected to take place after the Libyan Joint Committee talks, which began in Cairo yesterday, to approve the elections constitutional base.
