The Libyan 5+5 Joint Military Commission (JMC) has kicked off its ninth meeting, in the presence of all its members and a delegation of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), at the Committee’s headquarters in Sirte.
The agenda of the meeting includes ways to maintain security and spread peace in Libya, and to study the development of successful mechanisms for the final removal of mercenaries and forces supporting them, according to the Media Center of Ministries, Bodies and Institutions of the Libyan Government.
The meeting will also discuss new work and points that contribute to the Libyan military rapprochement and societal reconciliation in various parts of the country, to achieve national sovereignty and stability, the Center said in a statement on Wednesday.
