Benghazi – The Turkish Household Goods Exhibition kicked off today, Tuesday, at the exhibition grounds in the city of Benghazi, with the participation of more than forty Turkish factories specializing in household goods, furniture, furnishings, and electrical appliances, amid a notable presence of merchants and businesspeople.
The exhibition was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Emaar Libya for Exhibitions, Abdul Hamid Al-Zawawi, and a number of officials from the commercial and economic sectors, marking the start of a program that runs until the fourth of this December and offers opportunities for commercial cooperation.
Fouad Al-Awam, Director General of the Exhibitions and Conferences Department at the General Exhibitions Authority, explained that the exhibition is an important step to open a new market for Turkish products within Benghazi, stressing that the participation of Turkish factories gives Libyan merchants a direct opportunity to obtain commercial agencies from the exhibiting companies.
He added that there is a genuine desire among a number of Turkish companies to open branches in Libya and grant agencies to local merchants, leading to the future establishment of factories and production lines, with the aim of strengthening economic partnerships and trade exchange between the two countries.
The exhibition will continue for three days, receiving visitors from local merchants and companies working in the fields of household goods, electrical appliances, and furnishings, to view the products and explore new opportunities for cooperation and partnerships, while providing a space for direct communication between exhibitors and investors interested in expanding their business activities and developing economic relations between Libya and Turkey.
