The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) reported on Monday that 120 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 9 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 3 others died of the virus, while 470 have recovered during the same reporting period.
108 people are in “critical” condition, said the NCDC.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have reached more than 500,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 487,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 6,377 people in total. Over two million people received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while over one million were fully vaccinated with two doses.
