The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) reported on Tuesday that 3,063 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 32 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 14 others died of the virus, while 463 have recovered during the same reporting period.
133 people are in “critical” condition, said the NCDC.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 410,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 389,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 5,950 people in total. Over a million people received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while more than 972,000 were fully vaccinated with two doses. Over 13,000 people received booster doses.
