Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) and Italy’s Eni signed on Sunday an extension of the security management system for the memorandum of understanding between the two oil firms, according to a statement by NOC.
Mustafalla Sanalla, NOC chairman, and Antonio Baldasari, Eni’s General Director in North Africa, signed the extension at NOC headquarters in Tripoli.
“The MoU foresees a series of activities for the improvements of the security standards through a capacity-building program for NOC and Mellitah Oil Gas industrial security personnel,” NOC said in its statement.
“The MoU represents a step towards the improvement of security standards in Libyan Oil & Gas Industry to support petroleum operations.”
