Representatives of Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) and the U.S. oil firm Halliburton held talks on Monday to explore ways to develop wells and a digital transformation project for the oil sector, according to NOC.
Mustafa Sanalla, NOC’s Chairman, and Sid White, Vice President of Halliburton, met at the Libyan firm’s headquarters in Tripoli where they discussed “ways to support and strengthen partnership mechanisms between the two sides to raise the level of production operations in Libya and increase rates through drilling and well maintenance operations.”
“The meeting also dealt with the draft digital transformation program and digital technology, which will have a positive impact on improving production processes and their quality,” reads the statement of the NOC.
