Sebha – The Noor Al-Bayan Holy Quran Memorization Competition was held. It took place last Wednesday night. Al-Rahma Mosque in Al-Deisa neighborhood hosted it. This was in Obari Municipality. The competition was at the municipal level.
The municipality sponsored the event. The Al-Deisa Social Council oversaw it. The Obari Endowments and Islamic Affairs Office also supervised. This competition supports religious and cultural activities. These events happen during the holy month of Ramadan. It aims to encourage Quran memorizers. It motivates them to serve the Holy Book. Obari Municipality Dean, Salem Hammadi, attended. Several city notables were present. Many imams, sheikhs, and Quran teachers also attended.
Quran memorizers and citizens from inside and outside the region were there. Competitors vied in memorizing and reciting the first three parts of the Holy Quran. The atmosphere was spiritual. It reflected the local community’s interest. This interest is in encouraging youth. The goal is to help them memorize the Holy Book. It also reinforces religious values.
