This will happen during the Chinese official’s historic visit on Friday.
According to China’s Foreign Ministry, Kim also said Pyongyang and Beijing are ready. They will play an appropriate role in promoting global peace and stability. Wang stated that given the current international situation, China and North Korea must firmly defend their sovereignty. They must also protect their security and developmental interests. He added that both countries wish to strengthen communication and coordination. This includes international and regional affairs.
At the same time, the foreign ministers of North Korea and China agreed to deepen cooperation and exchanges. They held an “in-depth exchange” of views on international issues. This was reported by state media in both countries on Friday. China’s Xinhua News Agency reported on the Thursday meeting. Wang and North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui discussed current international and regional issues. However, Xinhua did not specify the nature of these issues. North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) also stated an agreement. They would enhance strategic communication between their foreign policy agencies.
