Oil minister tells British ambassador that his ministry must not be overridden

Oil Minister Mohamed Aoun told British ambassador Nicholas Hopton on Monday that his ministry is the political face front for any cooperation with British oil companies, according to a statement by the oil ministry. The minister added that the National Oil Corporation (NOC) and its subsidiaries are concerned with the technical aspect of running the ministry’s activities.
