President of the Libyan Presidential Council (PC), Mohamed al-Menfi, discussed with members of the 5+5 Joint Military Committee (JMC) in Tripoli the security and military situation in the Western region.
The meeting dealt with ways to make efforts to organize the work of all military units and sectors in Tripoli and the Western region.
The meeting took place in the presence of member of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army in Tripoli, Lieutenant-General Mohamed al-Haddad.
Al-Menfi’s Office said that the meeting reviewed efforts of the President of the Presidential Council in unifying the military institution, to be a single force that maintains the security, stability and unity of the country.
It added that al-Menfi praised the commitment shown by JMC members, stressing his support for the committee’s efforts in unifying the army, disarming outlaw groups, and reforming the military sector.
