Sebha – Sebha International Airport officially opened Saturday evening. The opening coincided with celebrations for the 12th anniversary of the Dignity Revolution. Development and equipping work on the airport has been completed. It has been restored with a modern look.
Mahmoud Al-Ferjani attended the opening ceremony. He is the Director General of the National Development Agency. Engineer Ahfaf Omar Al-Aswad, Sebha’s mayor, was also present. Several members of the House of Representatives attended. Major General Ahmed Salem Al-Darsi, Commander of the Southern Military Region, participated. Major General Khaled Al-Basta, Sebha’s security director, also attended. Various military and security leaders were present. City dignitaries and elders from the southern region also attended.
The airport opening is part of southern infrastructure development projects. It aims to enhance air transport services. The project will connect Sebha with other cities.
