Around 156 migrants, including one pregnant woman, were intercepted by the Libyan Coast Guard before they were brought back to Libya, where they disembarked at Zawiya airport, the U.N. Refugee Agency (UNHCR) said on Wednesday.
More than 600 migrants, including women and children, were intercepted off Libya’s shores on Wednesday by the Tripoli-based Libyan Coast Guards before they were returned Zawiya port (45 km west of Tripoli), according to the U.N. Refugee Agency (UNHCR).
Tripoli-based Coast Guard confirmed it intercepted a fishing boat carrying 97 migrants of different nationalities off the western coast of the city.
