Libya’s permanent representative to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Abdulmuttalib Thabit, discussed with the Deputy Speaker of the Arab Parliament, member of the Libyan House of Representatives, Hassan Barghouti, the role of the Arab Parliament in resolving the crises facing the Arab region.
The two sides reviewed the continuous follow-up on the latest developments in Libya, and Parliament’s support for the North African country in order to accomplish the upcoming entitlements.
Thabit said that the Arab Parliament has a great responsibility, especially at this stage in the history of the Arab nation, to intensify efforts to support stability in the region, work to defend its just causes, and come up with a unified Arab parliamentary vision towards the common issues and challenges facing the Arab nation.
For his part, Barghouti praised the work of the Libyan delegation, especially since Thabit assumed the duties of Libya’s permanent representative to the League of Arab States.
