Tripoli – The Paralympic Committee affirmed its commitment to integrity and good governance in the sports sector. This was during an expanded meeting held in Benghazi. The committee’s president met with specialists. They discussed technical, medical, and administrative aspects. The discussions focused on mechanisms to protect athletes. They also covered developing institutional performance. This aligns with international standards.
Aaz El-Din Belaid, Director of the National Teams Office, attended the meeting. Adel Al-Qadi, Head of the Medical Committee, was also present. Shaaban Al-Abrud, Head of the Athletics Technical Committee, participated. Abdul Karim Al-Ferjani, a member of the National Teams Office, was there too. The meeting focused on the medical committee’s role. Anti-doping efforts were a key topic. Adherence to international regulations and controls was emphasized. Awareness programs for athletes and technical staff were highlighted. This ensures their health protection. It also ensures Libya’s honorable representation.
The meeting officially announced the assignment of the organizing committee for the Libyan Athletics Championship. This is part of the plan for upcoming events. The championship is scheduled from January 30 to 31. Its goal is to assess technical and organizational readiness. It also aims to discover promising talent. This talent will represent Libya in regional and international competitions.
Mohamed Al-Salini Al-Fitouri, Director of the Media and Documentation Office, stated this to the Libyan News Agency. He affirmed the committee seeks to present a comprehensive sports model. This model combines institutional discipline and sports integrity. Local championships will become a platform. They will create champions. These champions will proudly raise Libya’s name in international forums.
