ROME – The U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, met on Sunday with his Italian counterpart, Luigi Di Maio, in Rome to discuss issues of mutual concern, including the situation in Libya.
Following the meeting, a brief press release by the U.S. State Department stated that the U.S. relationship with Italy “plays an important role in guaranteeing Transatlantic security, marshaling support for progress in Libya, and addressing shared threats in the Mediterranean region and around the world.”
