Tunisian Foreign Minister, Othman Jerandi, will discuss continued closure of the borders between Libya and Tunisia with his Libyan counterpart, Najla Mangoush, on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting of Libya’s neighboring countries held in Algeria, according to the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.
Jarandi will also meet with the Algerian Foreign Minister, the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, and the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya, on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting.
The two foreign ministers had discussed reopening of border-crossings between the two countries last week, where Jerandi explained that his country decided to close the border-crossings as a preventive measure after Tunisia witnessed a spike of virus infections last month.
