Special Advisor of UN Secretary-General on Libya, Stephanie Williams, has stressed “the importance of respecting the overwhelming demand of the Libyan people to elect their representatives through a free, fair and credible election,” in a meeting with the First Deputy Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR).
“As I continue my engagement with Libyan interlocutors, I met today with First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Fawzi al-Nueri, in Tripoli and discussed the way forward on the electoral process,” Williams tweeted on Monday.
“I stressed the importance of respecting the overwhelming demand of the Libyan people to elect their representatives through a free, fair and credible election,” she pointed out.
