The oil port of Zueitina received today the first oil tanker, the Melos 21, after the state of force majeure was temporarily lifted by the National Oil Corporation (NOC), according to press report.
Citing NOC sources, Libyan broadcaster 218 TV said that, once loaded, the tanker will head for China.
The state-owned oil company had temporarily lifted the force majeure at the port earlier this week after reaching an agreement with protesters who had shut down operations in mid-April, asking for fair national distribution of oil revenues.
