1272 people test positive for Coronavirus, 20 others dead in Libya

2001 people test positive for Coronavirus, 31 others dead in Libya

1,272 new people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 22 percent of the infection rate, according to a Tuesday report by the National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC). The center also said that 20 people died of the virus, while 1,800 have recovered during the same reporting period.

The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 318,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 230,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.

The virus has claimed the lives of 4,363 people. Over million people received one dose of the vaccination, while more than 111,000 others were vaccinated with two doses.
