Al-Bayda – The Green Mountain Security Directorate held its first Joint Security Chamber meeting. Security Director Major General Wahbi Anwar Al-Rakh chaired the meeting. Representatives from security and law enforcement agencies participated. These agencies are within the Directorate’s jurisdiction. The meeting aimed to enhance joint coordination. It also sought to raise security readiness in the region.
The Security Director emphasized the meeting’s goal. It is to establish a unified work mechanism. This will consolidate efforts. It will also strengthen cooperation among security components. Brigadier General Lotfi Al-Khazaali attended. He is the head of the Desert Patrols Office. Colonel Abdul Salam Al-Shara also participated. He is Director of the Investigations Office in the Eastern Region. The Assistant Director of the Shahhat branch was present. Colonel Reda Hweirish, Director of the Al-Bayda branch, also joined.
The attendees agreed on Wednesday evening. They will activate joint security patrols. These will operate under the Joint Security Chamber. Information exchange will be boosted between security agencies and the Directorate. Key areas of focus include combating illegal immigration. Human trafficking will also be addressed. Food security will be enhanced. The status of expatriate workers will be rectified. Begging will be reduced. Stray animals and rabid dogs will be controlled.
The meeting also discussed potential operational challenges. Participants emphasized the importance of teamwork. They stressed intensifying efforts. This aims for maximum discipline and coordination. The Security Director highlighted the need for overt security presence. He also stressed enhancing deployment on public roads.
