Tripoli – The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, stated this. Libya aims to consolidate peace within its borders. It also seeks peace with its regional and international surroundings. He delivered this speech during an official reception. The reception was held tonight at the Crown Prince’s Palace in Tripoli. It marked the 74th anniversary of Libya’s independence. In his speech,
Al-Menfi reiterated the Libyan state’s commitment. This commitment is towards its people, friends, and partners. These are its partners in the international community. He affirmed that Libya is moving forward. This is by the will of its people. It is building a unified, stable, and sovereign state. This state respects the rule of law. It fulfills all its obligations. The ceremony saw many attendees.
These included the Second Deputy Speaker of the High Council of State. The heads of the Administrative Control Authority and the Audit Bureau were present. The Minister of Sports and Acting Minister of Local Government attended. The Acting Minister of Oil was also there.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs participated. Heads and members of diplomatic missions accredited to Libya were present. The Dean of Tripoli Municipality also attended. Several grandchildren of the founding fathers were among the guests.
