The Arabian Gulf Oil Company has initiated the operational startup of well Z-13. The well is located in the Al-Bayda field. It has been connected to the Al-Door production station. Specialized maintenance teams completed the mechanical connection work. This involved establishing a 4-inch diameter production line. The line extends for 2 kilometers. This technical achievement took 45 continuous days of work. Pipe maintenance, transport, engineering, and construction units participated.
The company explained that the well’s mechanical connection work was completed after continuous technical efforts. This enabled the official commissioning and connection of the well. The well is now linked to the Al-Door production station. This supports the field’s operational capacity plans.
Preliminary tests were conducted in cooperation with Abetco Company. The field’s production engineering coordinator supervised these tests. The results were described as promising. The daily production rate reached 488 barrels of crude oil. The crude oil has a specific gravity of 32 API degrees. There is a complete absence of associated water.
Technical data indicates stable well operation. The well flows naturally with a wellhead pressure of 130 PSI. This is achieved through a 20/64 inch choke valve. The production separator pressure at the station remains stable. It ranges between 50 and 55 PSI. The total gas rate is estimated at 24,000 standard cubic feet per day. This reflects the operation’s success in enhancing the station’s operational efficiency. It also supports the field’s overall production capacity.
This achievement is part of the ongoing efforts by the National Oil Corporation (NOC). These efforts aim to achieve strategic goals. These goals include increasing production rates and developing oil fields. This strengthens operational capabilities. It supports the pillars of the national economy through optimal investment of available resources.
