The Libyan Government of National Unity (GNU), led by Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, sent on Saturday tons of aid materials containing medicines and foodstuffs to both Syria and Turkey, to support the people affected by the earthquake that struck the two countries last Monday.
In a statement on Saturday, the GNU confirmed the launching of the first air bridge flights to help the Syrian and Turkish peoples, explaining that the aids included tents, blankets, heaters and various foodstuffs.
