Sirte – Mahmoud Al-Ferjani, Director General of the National Development Agency, along with several department heads, conducted a field visit Thursday to the Sirte Free Zone project to monitor progress. According to the agency’s media office, the visit aimed to follow up on the final stages of one of the largest strategic projects overseen by the Agency.
During the visit, engineers supervising the project provided a detailed explanation of the construction phases of the marine docks. They also described the function of each dock and its role in supporting logistical and commercial activities. The delegation was informed that 82 percent of the work has been completed so far.
The visit is part of ongoing field monitoring to ensure the project is carried out to the highest standards. The Sirte Free Zone is expected to become a key economic and logistical hub, in line with Libya’s 2030 vision.
