The French Embassy in Libya announced that Ambassador Mostafa Mihraje has agreed with the Minister of Higher Education in the interim Government of National Unity, Imran Al-Geeb, on the need to restore academic and scientific cooperation between the two countries.
The restoration of academic cooperation between France and Libya has been a topic of discussion for several years. In February of this year, Al-Geeb discussed the situation of Libyan students studying in France and Libyan schools in Paris with the academic attaché at the Libyan Embassy in France, Fathi Amima.
The French Embassy in Libya did not provide further details on the agreement to restore academic cooperation between the two countries.
