IOM: 316 migrants intercepted and returned to Libya last week

80% increase in the flow of migrants from Libya, IOM

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said on Tuesday that 316 migrants were intercepted off the coast of Libya last week.

“From 18 to 24 February 2024, 316 migrants were intercepted and returned to Libya.,” IOM said in a statement.

So far in 2024, 1,394 migrants were intercepted and returned to Libya, according to IOM
