Ahmed Langhi, member of the High State Council, and member of the General National Congress since 2012, believes that the meetings of military leaders from the east and west of the country demonstrate a step towards unification.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Langhi emphasized the significance of the (5 + 5) Joint Military Committee, stating that it could play a pivotal role in accelerating the process of administrative and structural reform in the military institution, provided it is granted broader powers and independence. He argued that a non-politicized army could work together with the commanders and chiefs of staff to achieve this reform.
