The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) reported on Monday that 518 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 10 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 8 others died of the virus, while 837 have recovered during the same reporting period.
131 people are in “critical” condition, said the NCDC.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 393,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 381,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 5,796 people in total. Over a million people received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while more than 887,000 were fully vaccinated with two doses.
