The General Command of the Libyan National Army (LNA) has welcomed the results of the Global Terrorism Index report issued by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP).
The report placed Libya for the first time in years outside the top of the countries affected by terrorism in the 2024 report, after it ranked seventh in 2023 on the list of countries affected by terrorism.
In 2024, Libya ranked 39th, directly behind France, with a drop rate of 7 points, recording the best improvement among the countries of the Middle East and North Africa since 2010.
LNA Command noted that these results came thanks to the sacrifices of soldiers and security personnel.
The General Command confirmed, in a statement at on Wednesday, that the Libyan cities, such as Benghazi, Derna, the south in general, and all regions, which have been cleansed of the filth of terrorism, enjoy security and safety thanks to the sacrifices of soldiers and security personnel.
