Traghan – The Director of the Libyan Media Corporation’s Southern Region branch, Ali Al-Mabrouk, conducted a work visit to the municipality of Traghan on Thursday regarding the activation of media’s role and the support for local radio stations in the south.
During the visit, Al-Mabrouk met with the Mayor of the municipality, Abdulsayed Ibrahim Ahmouda, and the Director of the Municipal Council’s Office, Zakaria Ibrahim Tamer. In the presence of Traghan Local Radio Director, Naji Al-Sufi, they discussed mechanisms for activating the media’s role and relaunching the local radio station to enhance its media and developmental message and to serve the local community.
The mayor expressed his preliminary approval to allocate a plot of land for the construction of a dedicated building for the radio station, affirming the Municipal Council’s full support for the Corporation’s efforts to relaunch and develop the station.
The Corporation’s branch director, accompanied by the branch’s deputy and the radio director, also conducted a field tour of the current radio station headquarters to assess its maintenance and equipment needs in preparation for resuming broadcasts.
This visit comes as part of the Libyan Media Corporation’s plan to enhance media coverage in the south and provide an effective local platform that contributes to development and community engagement in the region.
