The plan to remove foreign forces from Libya is delayed by the recent political division over government, said a member of the 5+5 Joint Military Committee.
Speaking to Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, Major General Al-Fituri Greibel said the committee has finalized all technical procedures pertaining to the implementation of the exit plan in coordination with the U.N. Mission in Libya.
“However, it is unknown how long this delay will last,” Greibel said.
The Libyan general explained the postponing the elections and continued division between Libya’s political rivals “will keep the committee’s plans in files awaiting implementation”.
