Benghazi – The Minister of Agriculture and Livestock in the Libyan Government, Engineer Younis Bou Hassan, in his meeting with the Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sharef, discussed opportunities to train young personnel in agricultural and veterinary specializations as part of the Ministry of Labor’s initiative to qualify national cadres in various fields.
During the meeting, the two ministers reviewed a number of topics of common interest, most notably enhancing training and qualification programs to support the agricultural and livestock production sectors, and launching specialized training courses in the fields of guided irrigation, agriculture, and veterinary health.
The two ministers agreed on the importance of addressing the deficit in agricultural specializations in various Libyan regions to advance the agriculture and livestock sector.
It is noted that the initiative to qualify Libyan youth in the various specializations needed by the national economy was an implementation of the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, regarding supporting, qualifying, and providing youth with the skills that enable them to enter the labor market.
