Tripoli – Minister of Youth in the Government of National Unity, Haitham Al-Zahaf, met with a group of academics specializing in Islamic law and senior religious leaders to discuss ways to implement the National Program for Youth Preachers. The program aims to promote a moderate religious message and empower young people in the fields of preaching and guidance.
The participants agreed to bring in distinguished and active young figures in preaching and outreach through the Ministry of Youth’s social media platforms. This step aims to expand participation and highlight positive youth role models in society, according to the ministry’s official page on Friday.
The meeting also addressed forming a national team of leading scholars and experts to supervise a comprehensive program targeting Libyan youth. The initiative will include organizing religious lectures, supporting young people engaged in preaching, and encouraging memorization of the Quran.
The discussion focused on developing communication strategies and updating methods for addressing social issues, especially those concerning youth. The goal is to enhance youth participation in spreading awareness and reinforcing positive values.
Participants stressed the importance of coordinating efforts between religious and youth institutions to prepare a conscious generation capable of contributing to building society and promoting values of moderation and balance.
