Over 800 Migrants Intercepted and Returned to Libya in One Week

IOM: 885 migrants intercepted and returned to Libya between 12-18 February

During the period of 12 to 18 October 2025, a total of 802 migrants were intercepted at sea and returned to Libya.

The operations resulted in migrants being brought back to several ports, including 473 individuals to Tripoli and 329 to Zuwara.

The data comes from IOM Libya’s weekly maritime update, highlighting the ongoing migration dynamics in the central Mediterranean.
